Instruction for Use
Pre-Treatment Steps:
1. Bathing: Take a 15-20 minute bath to remove skin scales.
2. Determine MED: Minimum Erythema Dose (MED) must be calculated before treatment.
- Kernel KN4006B Lamp Intensity: 5.5 mW/cm²
- MED Formula: Irradiation Time (seconds)=Dose (mJ/cm²) ÷ Lamp Intensity (mW/cm²)
Dose Adjustment Guidelines:
A. No Erythema or Previous Erythema Resolved:
- Increase dose by 20-25%.
B. Mild Erythema:
- Maintain the same dose or increase by 10%.
- If resolved, follow "A."
C. Asymptomatic Shiny Erythema:
- Skip one treatment and resume with the same dose.
- Gradually increase by 10% for subsequent sessions.
D. Painful Erythema with Edema or Blisters:
- Stop treatment until recovery.
- Resume at half the previous dose.

Worth the price
I was looking for a hands-free UVA or UVB lamp to treat the psoriasis patches on my back and neck. I decided to buy from Hey Med because they seem to have been in business for a while. Their customer service is prompt and answered all my questions thoroughly. I started treatment with the KN4006B in early March, and I can tell you—it’s not a one-time fix. You need to stay consistent and make it part of your routine. The discoloration has become less noticeable, but the biggest improvement is that patches got smaller and I’m no longer as itchy when I sweat—and that alone makes it worth it!

It does what it promised!
OK, so my plaque psoriasis on my lower back had been improving slightly with topical creams, but the dry, red patches were still itchy and sometimes painful. Since I started using the 4006B lamp in December, the raised patches have become thinner, and some of the newer patches got softer, lighter-colored edges. You can even see signs of pigmentation returning, which is really encouraging.

It is working.
I bought this device to treat the eczema on my hands and fingers. The red, dry skin has become less sensitive, and I haven’t had any new blisters since I started using it in January. I’ve been using Cortizone 10 cream alongside the lamp, but since it's a steroid, I’m planning to stop using the cream and continue with just the light therapy. So far, I’m really happy with the progress!

I used this device for the first three months to treat psoriasis on my torso and arms, and I’ve seen great results. The raised red patches have become much smoother, and the flare-ups and itching have calmed down significantly. I only wish I had found it sooner! The attachment helps maintain a safe distance from my skin, and the larger treatment area lets me cover more skin at once, making the whole process much faster.

It works!
I am very pleased with the results. I purchased the device in December and have been using it for three months. The pigmentation on my hands and arms affected by vitiligo has recovered by about 80%. The treatment requires patience and consistency, and you really have to make it a part of your routine, but the results are absolutely worth it.

Great Machine
The lamp is about the size of a Stanley cup. I was initially intimidated by its size, but surprisingly, it's lightweight. While the user manual is a bit confusing, the machine itself is easy to operate. Since I have large psoriasis areas on my back and legs, a lamp of this size is incredibly useful

I chose the KN4006B because I have a larger patch on my back and abdomen. After using it since November, I’ve noticed obvious improvements—less red and shrinking patch sizes. I’d definitely recommend it to others dealing with similar skin.
