Description
AZO UTI Test Strips — Quick & Reliable At-Home Screening for Urinary Tract Infections
The AZO UTI Test Strips give you fast, reliable at-home screening to help you determine if you may have a urinary tract infection (UTI) — so you can decide whether to call your doctor for timely care.
Why You’ll Appreciate These Test Strips
Doctor-grade testing method at home — These strips detect both leukocytes (white blood cells) and nitrites (by-products of common UTI-causing bacteria) — the same markers many doctors use in clinical diagnosis.
Fast results in just 2 minutes — Get a visual result quickly: nitrite read at 1 minute, leukocyte read at 2 minutes.
Clean-grip handle & easy-to-read color chart — Designed for sanitary use and simple interpretation at home.
Convenient kit for home use — Comes in a small pack (e.g., 3 test strips) that you can keep on-hand for first signs of UTI symptoms.
How to Use
- Use at the first sign of a UTI — such as a burning feeling while urinating, increased frequency, or cloudy urine.
- Remove one strip from its foil pouch and hold the test pad in your urine stream for 1–2 seconds (or dip in a fresh urine sample).
- Match the color on each pad to the chart provided. Any degree of pink in the nitrite pad counts as positive; positive leukocyte result also signals likely
- If one or both are positive — call your healthcare provider with the result. If negative but symptoms persist — retest the next morning or seek medical advice.
- Hold the strip upright and read:
- At 1 minute: check the bottom pad for nitrites.
- At 2 minutes: check the top pad for leukocytes.
Important Things to Know
- Screening tool only — These strips suggest you may have a UTI; they do not replace a full medical diagnosis, urine culture or prescription antibiotic.
- False results possible — Color changes can be affected by medications (e.g., tetracycline), high vitamin C, or colored urine (e.g., from certain dyes or food) which may mask or skew readings.
- Not for everyone — If you’re pregnant, have kidney disease, catheters, blood in urine, severe pain, fever or other serious symptoms — see your doctor regardless of test result.
- Storage & use — Store the foil pouches sealed, at room temperature in a dry place. Do not use after expiration.
